For any of you that over-tweezed your brows throughout the years or just want a fuller effect without having to fill them in everyday, listen up…… because Microblading may be for you!
Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup procedure used to enhance and reshape eyebrows. Perfect for those with sparse, missing or misshaped brows.
The procedure entails of extensive and intricate mapping of the brows. During your first session (approximately 2 hours), we custom design your brow shape to best suit your facial features (bone structure, eye placement, face shape). A pigment is then carefully selected to best match your natural brow hair color. Once your shape and pigment are agreed upon, you will then be numbed using a lidocaine anesthetic cream. A very small nano blade is then used to deposit pigment into the outermost layer of the skin, gliding along simultaneously, creating hair-like strokes. Leaving you with beautiful, natural looking eyebrows.
You do not have to hide from the world after your service. Many clients can walk right out the door, ready to show off their new brows. Initially stronger in color your new brows will soften in 2-3 weeks.
How Long Does Microblading Last?
Microbladed eyebrows will not wash off, however, since microblading pigments are not implanted into the skin as deep as traditional tattoos, the area will naturally fade overtime. Microblading typically lasts 12-18 months. Retouch is required 4-6 weeks after first session. This is essential to ensure your micloblading is long lasting.
How long they last depends on a number of lifestyle and other factors, such as: tanning, swimming, intense exercise, using facial chemicals/peels, iron deficiency, medications, underlying or undiagnosed health conditions and depending on skin type (normal, oily, dry), age (yourthful/mature). Each skin type will hold pigment differently and break down at different rates. It is extremely important that you follow the aftercare instructions and use an SPF when your eyebrows are healed to protect them.
Is Microblading Painful?
Before the microblading procedure begins, a strong topical numbing cream is applied on eyebrow area for 30 minutes to minimize pain. You may feel a slight discomfort but it is almost painless. Any redness after procedure will subside quickly.
